Hi I'm Monika Rodgers

Oldest of 10 children, Registered Nurse, Air Force Wife, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a daughter, sister, a military wife, a nurse, a friend, I have a passion for life and people. I realized early on that people were an essentail part of my life. That drew me into the nursing feild where I have been able to make a difference on a consistent basis. Growing up in a big family they were my life. My friends would join and the famly would just seem to get bigger. I love the acceptance and love that abound. Now that I am married I am trying to make my own home like that.

Why I am a Mormon

I am one of those people that have a legacy of being mormon that goes all the way back to the pioneers. When I was younger I use to wonder if I would have chosen to be a mormon on my own. As I entered my college years with so many questions and different oppinions being thrown at me it caused me a great deal of reflection. In the mist of all of this chaos I came to value my faith and my relationship with Christ as my rock and anchor. It has been and continues to be the reason for every decission I make.

How I live my faith

The gospel of Jesus Christ as taught by the prophets, afters every aspect of my life. From how I interact with people, how I cope with stressful events, how I am able to help families and patients face death, and things I choose to do each day, the gospel directs me. Knowing my marriage can be eternal keeps me sane as I face time alone as my husband serves. I have loved serving the children, youth, and sisters in the congragations I have been in. It helps me feel love for them and my Savior.
