Hi I'm Steve

I'm a Mormon that grew up in Utah and now live in Minnesota.

About Me

I am a 38 year old father of three, an avid fisherman and have recently made the decision to go back to school and start a new career. I am a nurse and enjoy working face to face with people everyday. I am continuing my education and will eventually complete my masters.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I have a great testimony of the work of Jesus Christ. He taught us to love one another and to share that with what we have been blessed. Every day I find opportunity to share the gifts that god has blessed me with. I find the gospel of Jesus Christ to be one of those gifts and will always share it with anyone who has the desire to learn. One of the other gifts that I have been given is the knowledge that my family can be together forever. That Christ's ultimate sacrifice on the cross of calvary not only gave us repentance and forgiveness, it gave us eternity. We can be sealed together here on earth and be together beyond this life.

How I live my faith

I do my best to live the commandments that God gave to Moses. I do not include profanity in my communications and do my best to stay morally clean. I am a member of the bishopric in my local ward and I enjoy serving in this position very much. It is a calling that gives me an opportunity to work with the youth in the church. It never ceases to amaze me what wonderful examples they are to me and those around them. They face many challenges and obstacles yet they stay focused on the values and morals that they have been taught by the gospel of Christ.

What is the difference between attending a Mormon Church and a Mormon Temple?

At the church we meet every week as a congregation to continue to learn the gospel of Jesus Christ and to partake of the sacrament. The sacrament is a sacred ordinance in which we agree to take upon ourselves the name of Christ. In the Temple we have the opportunity to worship one on one with our father in heaven. We make sacred covenants with the Lord to live according to the commandments of the gospel that are found in the holy scriptures. Show more Show less
