Hi I'm Jared Spataro.

I'm a husband, father, and outdoorsman. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married, have four children, and have spent my professional career building world-class technology businesses. I love the outdoors and take every opportunity I can to hike, bike, run, ski, kayak, and camp.

Why I am a Mormon

Membership in the Church of Jesus Christ is a tremendous blessing. Here are five reasons I’m a Mormon: ORDINANCES. God offers special blessings to people who are willing to make and keep sacred covenants. He sets the terms of the covenants and we show our willingness to obey by participating in simple ceremonies called ordinances. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only organization on earth with the authority from God to perform these ordinances. PEACE. The Church has taught me how to be “reconciled unto God through the atonement of Christ, His Only Begotten Son.” It’s an amazing experience to become acquainted with God and feel His love for you. POWER. God is active in the affairs of this world, and He grants His power to men through the Priesthood. As a member of the Church and bearer of that Priesthood I am authorized to act in His name—to perform sacred ordinances and to call down the power of heaven to bless the lives of the people around me. KNOWLEDGE. In a world where men are “ever learning, and never able to come to a knowledge of the truth,” the Church offers a “knowledge of things as they are, and as they were, and as they are to come.” I’m particularly grateful for my knowledge of the Creation, the Fall, and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. COMMUNITY. Membership in the Church makes us “no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God” (Ephesians 3:19). No matter where I am in the world, the Church provides friends, support, and opportunities to serve.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying, studying God's word, and helping other people.
