Hi I'm Chad

I'm an entrepreneur, a lover of sports, a beatboxer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an entrepreneur. After four majors and 6 years as a college undergrad I started a business with a close friend. I love being my own boss with the freedom to do whatever I want to. I like watching professional sports, but I love college sports. My favorite sports to play are Basketball, Football, and Golf. I can beatbox. It's a random talent, but I have fun with it. I've actually had some of my beatboxing featured in a popular video game.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon, but that's not why I'm Mormon. One of the things I've always loved about Mormonism is that I can find answers to tough theological questions, ones that most churches brush off or tell you not to worry about. I appreciate that Mormon theology is logical, but that's not why I'm Mormon either. The reason I'm a Mormon is much deeper than logic or how I was raised. I'm Mormon because of the countless deeply spiritual and personal experiences I've had as I've prayed and received answers to those prayers. The logic and my upbringing are nice, but the feelings I get tell me that what I believe is true!

How I live my faith

It's an everyday kind of thing. I don't go to church everyday, but I do pray, read my scriptures, and try to be like Christ every day. I'm not perfect, I mess up a lot, but that's why my belief in Christ brings such comfort. I also help out in my local ward. Right now my responsibilities are to encourage members of our congregation to attend the Temple more often. I also teach a Sunday school class that prepares people who are going to the Temple for the first time.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

If God is real, why would he operate differently today than he did in Moses' day? God hasn't changed. There is a prophet today. The question really should be, why does God work through prophets? We are all blessed with the gift of prayer. I can pray and ask God for help or answers, and he can answer my prayers, but I can't receive answers for you. A prophet receives answers for all of us! We live in a crazy world, full of wars, natural disasters, terrorists, financial crises, and many more problems. The prophet is here to help give direction to all of us in these crazy times, just as Moses did for the Israelites. Show more Show less
