Hi I'm Kathie

I love to bake and snuggle with my children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the wife of a wonderful man, and the mother of 3 sweet children. I love to read, watch movies with my husband, and hear my children laughing. My favorite season is fall because I love knowing the holiday season is coming.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this Church because I know it is true. I have prayed to my Heavenly Father and he has let me know this is His church. The Bible and Book of Mormon are real scripture. There is a living prophet today to direct us. The power of the priesthood is real and is available to bless our lives. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

At church I have the opportunity to teach the nursery class, which is the children ages 18 months to 3 years. It is such an honor to be able to help these sweet little ones to understand that they are children of God, and that He loves them.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Husbands and wives should be partners. They should support each other. My husband and I each have different responsibilities, but we work together and help each other. Usually the husband is primarily responsible for supporting the family financially, while the wife is primarily responsible for caring for the children's daily needs, but there is certainly overlap. My husband does the laundry, and I manage our finances. But no matter what we do, we support each other to make the load lighter. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

We believe baptism is essential to eternal happiness, and we believe everyone should have the chance to have that happiness. So we preform baptisms by proxy for people who were not baptized in this life. Then, in the next life, they have the chance to either accept that baptism or reject it. It is totally up to them.
