Hi I'm Bret

I'm a dad of six, a basketball coach and a devoted husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a dad of six awesome kids and married to the most beautiful woman in the world. I love sports, christmas, music and food.

Why I am a Mormon

I live the gospel of Jesus Christ because I have a choice. I live it because it is truth and I choose to receive the blessings that come from obeying our loving Heavenly Father. I live it because it brings me joy, pure joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in everything I do; in how I treat my wife and kids, in how I serve my neighbors and in how I act when I'm all alone. I love serving. I find great peace in helping others and using the talents and gifts I have been given to serve those around us.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes. I know there is. God loves us as his children, just as he loved those people who lived in Moses' time. He desires we would have the blessings that come from a living prophet, one who receives direction for all mankind as to His will. Why would God see the need for people to have prophets in ancient times and not today? Because he loved those people more? No. Because God no longer has the power to call prophets? No. Because we no longer need Him? For sure not, we have never needed Him more. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Speaking as one of the "clergy", you couldn't pay me to do this job. No amount of money would convince me to do the things I do to fulfill my "calling". I would truly only accept this if I was called of God, which I was. Being paid would make this a job, leaving me open to evaluations on priorities based on the amount I'm being paid. The fact is, serving in these capacities is far too important to be devalued with a price, service is priceless. Show more Show less
