Hi I'm Lynsie

I am a full time student, actress, singer, and a nurse assistant. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy going to plays and being a cast member when I have enough time. I love to sit at the piano play and sing by myself or with my sisters. I love to travel. I also enjoy curling up in a blanket and reading a good book. I am going to college and studying to become an elementary school teacher. I recently got married in the temple to my best friend and I can honestly that getting married in the temple to him has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and grew up in a neighborhood that was predominately Mormon. Although, living in an Mormon community influenced my behavior, I chose to stay a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because of what I feel. I remember one time when I was lying in bed, I questioned whether there was really a Heavenly Father that cared for me. Feeling more and more confused, I knew I needed an answer, I got on my knees and asked Heavenly Father to let me know that He is real. After I was done praying I opened my scriptures and came across a verse that said, "And now, my sons, I speak unto you these things for your profit and learning; for there is a God, and he hath created all things, both the heavens and the earth, and all things that in them are, both things to act and things to be acted upon." After I read this scripture I was filled with the spirit. I felt warmth and peace and just knew without a shadow of a doubt that there is a God who cares for me and wants me to be happy. I know, through this experience and many others I have had after, that my Heavenly Father loves me. He loves me enough to have sent Jesus Christ down here to provide a way so that I can return to live with Him someday. I know that Jesus Christ loves me because of what He did for me when He lived on the earth. I also know that because of His sacrifice I can live with my family forever and I am truly grateful for that.

How I live my faith

I go visiting teaching each month and I see if the women I visit with need any help from me then, I teach them something spiritually uplifting. During the week I attend a religion class on Monday and Friday, this is where we are taught additional ways in which we can follow Christs example. I also teach children, ages 3 and 4, how to be good people by following the example Jesus Chirst set through how He lived His life.

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

No, we haven't practiced it since 1890. Those people practicing polygamy today are not members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon). Show more Show less
