Hi I'm Jordan

I learned Chinese in Australia. I run barefoot. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 24 year old husband and college student trying to live a simple, meaningful life. My wife and I met at university, and we just returned from a summer program at the University of Cambridge - the first of many travels we hope to have. I've always loved learning, and sometimes have trouble pinning myself down to one area of study - I left high school early to study the Great Books at a tiny liberal arts college before moving to Australia and learning Chinese. Today I'm studying economics. Tomorrow, who knows?

Why I am a Mormon

I've never met anybody who didn't wonder what his purpose was. I spent much of my youth wondering why I was placed on Earth when I was, where I was, and I don't think I was too unique in asking those questions. I think we're all striving for purpose and direction - I found both of those in the Church. Becoming a Mormon didn't answer all the questions I have - I still wonder what God wants me to do with my life, for example - but now I know how to involve God in my life and my decision-making process. I know that I'm not alone, that I have a Heavenly Father, and that He has cares about the way I choose to spend my life.

How I live my faith

The church plays a pretty big role in the life of my wife and I, no matter where we live. While we were living in Cambridge, we walked two hours each Sunday to make it to our meetings, but now we just walk down the street. I've participated in the church in many ways, from teaching Sunday classes to cleaning the chapel.
