Hi I'm Brandon

I love knowing who I am and where I'm going--and how to be happy while doing it.

About Me

I am 27 years old and love everything from running, welding, hiking, baking, traveling and any and every sport. My 15 month old son definitely keeps me on my toes as he has recently learned that he can, basically, get into anything and everything!

Why I am a Mormon

Praying is what eventually led me to growing closer to my Heavenly Father. I had grown up my whole life in the church, but I never really took the time to know if it was true for myself until my late teens. A buddy of mine suggested that I get on my knees and prey. I hadn't anticipated that it would make all the difference in the world--but it did! Praying eventually led to reading the Book of Mormon more often. Reading helped me understand that this life had a meaning beyond what we see in our day to day lives. I mean sure, there's work and school, cars and music, nice houses and clothes, but all of that eventually ends. I am Mormon because I know that there is deeper meaning to this life, and there is more after this life. When we die, its not just blackness. Being Mormon allows me to take the right steps in this life in order to prepare for what comes after this one. Those right steps and the authority to take those is in the Church that God has instituted, not just any churn but HIS church; the one HE established when here on the earth 2,000~ years ago. What an incredible blessing and source of happiness!

How I live my faith

First off, I want to say that I am very VERY far from perfect. I make a ton of mistakes every day. I am simply trying to do what it takes to return to the presence of God--with my family. I am thankful to know where I come from, and to know-without a doubt-why I am here and-without a doubt-where I am going. My faith and obedience to God qualifies me for the Holy Ghost. I know these things are true through the Holy Ghost--there is no doubt. The Holy Ghost is given to us in order to know exactly what is true in this life, and what I/we NEED to DO to return to His presence.
