Hi I'm Larry

I'm a Mormon. I am an engineer from Idaho. Things I enjoy include my family, football, water skiing, and good food.

About Me

I am married and have six kids. We enjoy camping in the summer (especially near water). We stay busy with yard work and a garden in the spring. I enjoy watching college football in the fall and the holiday season in the winter. I have traveled to Canada, England, and Australia. I hope to be able to go back to England and also visit Ireland and Scotland. My wife is a great cook so I have to make an effort to exercise regularly. My favorite way to exercise is to play basketball which I do at a nearby gym.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the LDS church because I believe it is the Lord's church that has been restored to the earth. I have believed this since I was young. I am grateful for the many blessing that have come to me through living the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe the Lord has provided me with answers to my prayers and that he answers others as we have faith in him.

How I live my faith

Trying to be a good Christian is important to me. In addition to attending church on Sunday, I work with youth usually once a week. I participate in activities for young men and young women. The youth activities include scouts, service, and anything fun the youth plan. Our family studies the scriptures together during the week and once a week we have an evening together where we have an activity, a lesson (typically on a subject that we feel would be good for all of us), and treats. Praying individually and as a family is an important part of each day. I also enjoy going to a temple when I can. I know these things make a difference for me and my family. I feel we are closer to the Lord as we make an effort to remember him and provide time to learn about and communicate with Him throughout the week.
