Hi I'm Amber

I'm a mom, I teach dance, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of two daughters. I have a passion for all styles of dance from tap, jazz, ballet, and hip hop to name a few. I love to do crafts, sew, and cook. I am a stay at home mom who enjoys watching chick flicks and rocking my daughters to sleep.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always loved working and being around children. I'm not sure if that came from growing up in a large family or not, but I always knew I wanted to be a mom. After I was married to my husband, we started trying. Being physically active my whole life and being so involved in dance I never thought for a second that I would have a hard time getting pregnant. . My husband and I decided after a year of trying to start some testing. We also prayed together and decided we could serve better and more in our church callings and in any other way we could. We knew that our Heavenly Father would bless us whether that would be with having children of our own or adopting in the future. After many tears, a lot of discouragement and 5 years, the miracle came. My husband was receiving a new calling. In the blessing he received he was told that we would have children in this calling. I was so grateful for the hope of that blessing. I had been praying that something would be said in the blessing that could help me with my inadequate feelings and bitterness. I was feeling forgotten, but when I heard the president say, "you will have children in this calling" I knew I needed to prepare. 3 months later I was pregnant with my first daughter. I was so happy! I knew that Heavenly Father loved me and was aware of my desire and longing to be a mother. 4 years later I gave birth to my second daughter. We are so blessed. I know that in our trials if we can be faithful and stay strong, that we will be blessed in what we need. Our Heavenly Father loves us and teaches us in so many ways. Our trials make us stronger and humble us to come to him in deep prayer. After the trial of our faith we are blessed so abundantly that our cup really does runneth over and we are more capable of helping others struggling with the same trials we just went through. I am grateful to serve our Heavenly father. I know that he lives and wants to bless us and wants us to be happy.

How I live my faith

I am currently working in my church with the 9 year old cub scouts. I enjoy working on requirements that help them become better people and to help them be their best. It's always rewarding when a boy comes to you with great enthusiasm to tell you everything he has been working on to achieve the next advancement. I love working with the young children in our church. They bring so much light and joy to people. They thirst for knowledge and they help strengthen my testimony of the work of our Savior. I am humbled each day I get to work with the youth at their love for things that are right and true.
