Hi I'm Cindy

I'm a Mormon. I am a mother of four children. I've been married for 23 years. I work at an elementary school

About Me

I love being a mother. My time is filled with watching the kids play sports and following them around the state for games. The last two are now seniors so I will be an "empty nester" soon. I love to read. I have had my own business sewing Christening dresses and tuxedos. I have worked at the elementary school for the past 12 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The gospel has shaped my life and made me the person that I am today. I know that without the standards of the church, I would have had many more problems growing up. The church is true. Feeling the spirit of the Holy Ghost in my life is so wonderful. I am so grateful for the knowledge that Jesus Christ is my brother. I am grateful to him for his sacrifice, for all of us, in the Garden of Gethesemane and for his willingness to give his life for us on the cross. But the most important thing is that he rose again. We will all be resurrected. If we life righteously here on this earth, and partake of the covenants in the temple, we will be able to live with our families again someday. That makes it all worth while!

How I live my faith

I try to be the best person that I can be. I believe in being honest in all things. I believe in following the commandments to the best of my ability like not shopping on Sunday, reading scriptures and having prayer daily, attending church services each Sunday, providing service to others, not taking the name of God in vain. etc. It's living the little commandments, along with the big ones, that make a difference in our lives.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

I have a son that is on a mission right now in San Diego. It was the hardest thing I have ever done to send him on a mission for two years. But I know it is where he should be. He is gaining such a strong testimony of God, our Heavenly Father, and his son, Jesus Christ. I served a mission myself when I was 21 years old. The missionaries proselyte because we believe that the gospel is to be spread to every person on the earth. Everyone needs to have the chance to accept the gospel in their lives. Every member should be willing to share the gospel with others. It's kindof a a "share the joy" message. We love it and want to share. Show more Show less
