Hi I'm Aubrey

I'm a new wife and mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been happily married for two years and have a toddler. I enjoy doing simple crafts, thrift shopping, and hosting parties. I like to keep busy, but I also like to just sit and watch a show. My favorite thing to do is hang out with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

As a young girl attending church, I felt in my heart that the principles taught were true and virtuous. At a young age, I felt the Holy Spirit testify of the truth of the LDS gospel. Whenever I was having a problem, I turned to the Lord for help and support, and after my prayers were continually answered, I knew that the Lord loved me, and that I was a daughter of God. I have strived to live His gospel, and keep His commandments, so that I can have His spirit with me always, to guide me in my day to day decisions.

How I live my faith

In my church ward, it is primarily newly married students. I love to go visiting teaching each month, where my companion and I are able to go visit a few sisters. We help them with anything they might need that month, chatting about our daily lives, as well as sharing a brief lesson where we discuss gospel principles. As we meet each month, our bonds of friendship are strengthened and we become more unified as a congregation.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Families can be eternal. That is what Heavenly Father wants for all of his children. Through righteous living, LDS members can be sealed (married) in the temple for time and all eternity. As families have children, the children are then born under the same eternal promise. The promise (covenant) to be an eternal family depends upon the family members' obedience to the commandments of the Lord. This is such a blessing to me and my family. We were married over a year ago, and have been blessed with a new little boy. The knowledge that we can be together forever brings such peace and joy to my life. Show more Show less

What is the First Vision?

In the early 1800's, Joseph Smith was wondering what church he should join and he prayed to Heavenly Father. He went into a grove of trees near his home and knelt down. Then, he was visited by Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, who told him that he shouldn't join any of the churches. He was then told that he would later receive more instructions about what he needed to do. Each time that I read Joseph Smith's account of the First Vision in the Pearl of Great Price, I am filled with the Spirit testifying of its truthfulness. Show more Show less

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

The gift of the Holy Ghost, is given after someone chooses to be baptized. From then on, the ability to have the companionship of the Spirit depends upon the obedience of the individual. Through the Holy Ghost, we can be blessed to have direction in our trials. We can seek for guidance for our children, family, and friends. The Holy Ghost can also testify of truth. As we continue to be obedient, we can always have His spirit with us. Show more Show less
