Hi I'm Erick

I'm a fisherman, I love to read, I'm a chemical engineer at nuclear power plant and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a outdoor enthusiast, engineer, former Naval Submarine officer and avid reader. I have been scouting for over 25 years. I enjoy fishing hiking and introducing youth and adult to the beauty of this earth. I am a parent who has lost a child.

Why I am a Mormon

My wife's wonderful parents introduced me to the gospel. As an engineer I needed to understand the history of the church as well as the Book of Mormon. I read the Doctrine and Covenants as well as the Book of Mormon. The words of the Savior in the Doctrine and Covenants spoke to my heart. The Book of Mormon confirmed those words. My Lord has sustained me through through the loss of a child.

How I live my faith

I have been working in the youth programs of the Church for a long time. I attempt to help others in whatever ways the Spirit presents itself to me. Sometimes the still small voice needs to shout at me. I'm still learning to be in touch with the Spirit.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Erick
From my youth I have been interested and amazed by glory of God's creation. My study of the sciences has only helped me to come become even more amazed at the complexity and subtle miracles involved in the workings of this world. The idea that all this was a random arrangement in impossible for me to accept. There are to many things which had to work correctly the very first time. For me science proves the existence of God on a daily basis. The Holy Ghost confirms that belief many times each day. Show more Show less
