Hi I'm Martha

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a twenty-something Mormon convert that loves everything about a good, wholesome life! I was born in Maryland and grew up there and in Colorado. I joined the Church in 2007 as a senior in high school. A year later I met my handsome husband through mutual friends. We were sealed in the Denver Temple in 2009. We are both college students and look forward to graduating. We are expecting our first little baby in January 2012!

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be a Mormon. I wasn't raised to follow any particular religion, however my parents taught me to choose the right. Heavenly Father has worked really hard on me. I feel like many life experiences prepared me to accept the Gospel. I am grateful for each of them. Eventually I knocked on the door and He answered. The feeling I get from reading the scriptures and consistent prayer gives me a familiar comfort. I try to constantly seek the silent promptings to serve the Lord and His children because I know that is where true happiness is found. Heavenly Father knows each of us individually and when we let Him work on us, He will bless us for eternity.

How I live my faith

My faith grows each time I partake of the sacrament and each time I kneel in prayer to express my gratitude to Heavenly Father. I have found that my faith grows with the small things, like remembering to feel love and patience. The Gospel is simple. I have had the opportunity to teach young children the Gospel at church, which has been very rewarding because of the simple truths I am able to teach them. In fact, I try to be like a child, humble and teachable.
