Hi I'm Scott

I live in Akron, Ohio with my wife and son. I work as a Marriage and Family Therapist and enjoy helping others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised a member of the Church in Magna, Utah in a family of 9 (7 children). I was married on August 10, 2010 in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple to my wife, Kortnie. We have a 4-year old son, Christian. I currently reside in Akron, Ohio and recently graduated from the University of Akron with a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I currently work for a company where I help families who are struggling with difficult teenagers. I believe strongly in the family and believe it needs to be supported and strengthened in order for people to be happy and countries to live in peace.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church because I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and want to follow His gospel. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that the original Church of Jesus Christ was brought back to the Earth through him. I love the Book of Mormon and how it brings me closer to my Heavenly Father and my Savior. I love the doctrine that family relationships exist after death and that we will know and love each other after this life.

How I live my faith

When I was 19-years old, I served a mission for the Church to the country of Poland. During that time, I dedicated 2 full years to telling people about the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Plan of Salvation. Since that time, I have served in various callings, including teaching children in the Primary, serving in the Elder's Quorum Presidency, assisting the Ward Bishopric as a secretary, and serving as an adviser to the young men. Most importantly, I live my faith by trying to remember my Savior Jesus Christ and do the kind of things He would do. I enjoy reading the scriptures and the words of the apostles and prophets. I spend time in regular prayer as a way of personally communicating with my Heavenly Father. I try to be a friend to everyone during the week and to offer service. I do my best to respect and love my wife, my family, and my parents.
