Hi I'm Michael

I'm a traveler, trilingual and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The best thing that identifys me is that I am a mormon because that is interwoven in everything I enjoy and say and do.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I have come to know that it is true. I did get a head start being borned and raised in an LDS home but I still have had to pray and find out for myself that the things I have been taught are true. That has come over time and countinues to increase as I pray and strengthen my relationship with God by being obedient and following what I have learned to be true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be the kind of person my Heavenly Father sees in me every day as I interacte with others and face personal trials.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Baptism by the proper authority and in the correct way is a prerequisite to living with God again. God wants all of his children to live with Him because He loves us. Obviously not everyone that has every lived on this earth has been baptized in accordance to Gods standards and many of them never had the opportunity to do so. Heavenly Father provided a just way where all who will be obedient to Him and follow the example of His son Jesus Christ will live with Him after this life. Baptisms in behalf of those who are dead is a part of that. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

The doctrine of grace is such a common misunderstanding between the LDS community and other Cristian sects when in actuality we believe the same thing. We believe that only through Jesus Christ can we be saved and that it is ultimately the grace of God that will allow us to live in our Heavenly Fathers presence forever. It is important to understand that there are two major obstacles that we need to be saved from. Those are physical death and spiritual death or in other words sin. Everyone born on this earth will be saved from physical death, regardless of anything that they do or do not do. We will all be resurrected just like Christ was resurrected. That is grace in its purest form. To be saved from sin is also a full reliance on grace. When I sin their is nothing that can cleanse me from sin except Christs sacrifice which is available to all; however, to apply Christ atonement in my life I need to act and do what the Lord asks of all His children. I need to have faith on his son and repent of my sins. Faith without the workings of repentance is dead and cannot perform salvation alone. Again we believe that only through Jesus Christ can we be saved and that it is ultimately the grace of God that will allow us to live in the presence of our Heavenly Father forever.
