Hi I'm Stuart Edge

I'm a Movie Maker, Magician, Musician and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I am Stuart Edge! You may have seen me on a video somewhere on the internet. Most of my time is spent making videos that entertain and inspire. I post most of the videos I make on YouTube and Facebook. My life as a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints greatly impacts everything I do in life, and influences the videos I try to put out. I am 27 years old and currently live in Utah where I have a studio office where I work and collaborate with other people in my field. I have an Associates degree from Utah Valley University, and when I am not busy making videos, you'll most likely find me mini golfing.

Why I am a Mormon

Why not? I love the church so much. I was born into the church, and I was 8 years old when I was baptized. I think that the most valuable lesson I have learned being a Mormon is that God has a plan for us. I have met a lot of people doing what I do, and have grown to love all of them. I can only imagine the love our Heavenly Father has for each of us. He as a plan for us, and part of that plan is for us to return home to live with him. I am so grateful to know I will be able to be with those that I loved in this life, and we will continue to be a family forever. That knowledge is more valuable to me than anything else. That's why I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

There is a lot of media in the world, and a lot of it is good, but there is also media that brings you down. I try and live my faith, by producing media that is uplifting and inspiring. Also, anytime I come in contact with another person, whether or not they are a member of my faith, I always try and uplift and invite them to come closer to Christ. I am far from perfect, but I have found that as I stand up for my beliefs and share those with others, I am strengthened and feel closer to God. Another way I live my faith, is by attending church on Sundays, no matter where I am in the world. Some of my favorite Sundays have been when I was out traveling and set aside time to go to church. Going to church and striving to keep the Sabbath Day holy every week has given me the strength I need to get through the coming week.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Stuart Edge
Joseph Smith was the prophet who restored (brought back) the Church of Jesus Christ. He lived in New York, and when he was 14 years old he wondered which of all the churches was true. He had read a scripture in the Bible that says if we have a question about what we should do, we can ask God and he will give us the answer (James 1:5). So, in the spring of 1820, Joseph Smith went to a forest behind his house and began to pray to God. While he was praying he saw light above his head, and in that light he saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ told him that he shouldn't join any of the churches, because none of them had the complete truth. Joseph Smith was then called as a prophet to restore the true church of Jesus Christ. What is faith?

Stuart Edge
I love it when people tell me something can't be done. It gives me that much more motivation to see myself doing it. That is faith. Faith is believing in something even when it "seems" impossible. Even when something seems too late, you should still believe. When it comes to having faith in Christ, we need to believe in Him always, even when it seems impossible, or if something should have happened, but hasn't yet. Always believe. Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Stuart Edge
I am so grateful for Jesus Christ and that He gave His life so I can be clean from sin. I stumble and fall a lot each week. Even though I do progress and get a little better each day, I feel that I will always be needing to repent and start over...even 'til the day I die! Jesus Christ's Atonement makes it possible so that when I stand before God at the judgement day, I can live with Him even though I have things I am still working on. I will most definitely not be perfect on judgement day, but because Christ has already paid the price of my sins, I will be able to live with God again, because I did my best in this life to make it a habit of constantly repenting and putting my life in harmony with Christ's teachings. That, coupled with the Sacrifice of Christ and his Atonement, will allow me to enter into God's presence. Hence the scripture, "For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do." 2 Nephi 25:23 Show more Show less
