Hi I'm Julianne Dehlin Hatton

I am a wife, mother, and media personality. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has given me insight, courage and hope for a better tomorrow. Church members throughout the world inspire me, and give me strength to face life's challenges. I have a testimony that the Savior lives and knows each one of us personally, and I try to follow in His footsteps as I strengthen others.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon is more than a Sunday commitment and I take my religion seriously. Since my baptism, I have felt the Savior's presence every day of my life. Knowing where I came from and that I will one day return to my father in heaven gives me the strength, perspective and motivation to get through hard times.

How I live my faith

I am a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My faith made me 'different' in high school, and I spent a lot of time answering questions and clearing up misconceptions about the church. Most friends and colleagues have been respectful about my beliefs and I continue to have missionary opportunities on a daily basis. I have tremendous respect for people of all faiths because I know we are all brothers and sisters in God's eyes.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Julianne Dehlin Hatton
I have never seen a Mormon worship Joseph Smith. However, I am grateful for the sacrifices he made to restore the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have read the Book of Mormon many times, and it continues to bless my life. This book has increased my faith and provided peace and strength to carry on during hard times. I believe the Book of Mormon is inspired, and therefore Joseph Smith must have been a prophet of God to bring forth such a work. I do not believe Joseph Smith was a perfect man. Jesus Christ was the only perfect being on this earth. The Lord used Joseph Smith to restore the gospel, just as he inspires other good men and women to improve the world around them. What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Julianne Dehlin Hatton
I acquired patience, self-discipline, confidence and unconditional love for others while raising a family. These qualities also make me a more effective employee. Church service has taught me to organize, delegate, motivate, build a consensus and make presentations. My priesthood leaders have always respected my choice to be a working mother, and have enthusiastically encouraged me to follow my dreams. Show more Show less
