Hi I'm Jason

I'm studying to be a mechanical engineer, with the support of my wonderful wife.

About Me

I love sports. It is a large part of my life. In high school I trained as a gymnast and achieved national ranking on the pommel horse event. After high school I ran a marathon and started running triathlons. I loved it! I was growing a lot in the sport and thought about going professional with it, but I decided to postpone my training to serve a mission and then upon returning home, I chose to start a family instead of following that path. Now family is my number one priority, but I still find time to get a good work out in here and there.

Why I am a Mormon

Being taught from a young age about the restoration of Christ's church in our days, I followed the church's teachings and my mother's example as best as I could, but leaning on her beliefs only got me so far. At the age of 18, far away from home, on my own, I knew that my life was in my own hands and that I needed to find out what I was going to believe in. I needed to find out for myself if what I had been taught all along was really true. I studied and prayed asking God if it were true, and a wonderful feeling of love, peace and security came over me as I remembered in that instant every time in my life when I had felt the spirit testify to me that it is true. I could not deny that feeling and immediatly began to place my life in order to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have accepted a responsability to watch over the male members of the congregation that I attend and their families. I work with other good men to make sure that the members of this congregation have the things that they need both spiritually and physically.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

We look after members of our church. We try to make sure that everyone has the things that they need, but we do not stop there. We hope that we can serve others in many ways, and we do not focus only on members of the church. We do our best to follow Christ's teaching to love our neighbors as ourselves. This commanment includes the responsability to look after all human beings and not just members of our church. Show more Show less
