Hi I'm Rachael

I'm a survivor of Cancer. I'm a dreamer and a realist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Mother of three adopted girls. First to survive a radical cancer of 33 years. BA in Business and HR. I have a variety of hobbies and interests; but to name the ones I'm doing now a days: Photography, Singing, Writing, Canning, Quilting, Food storage, Teaching my children, Event planning, Gardening, Home Decorating, Sewing, Piano, Long Distance Driving, Exploring, Sledding, Snowmobiling, Camping, Organizing, Learning new things, Studying the gospel of JESUS CHRIST.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always known I have a Heavenly Father who loves me. I've felt him near me since I was a lil child. I've been through many physical challenges and my parents taught that my Father in Heaven would help me if we but ask for it. I know He sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to be the Savior of the world. I know he is our eldest brother. I know He too, loves us. Researching and studying on my own I've come to my own conclusions that this is real and true. There is a Plan of Happiness God created for us. He has sent us the resources to find out for ourselves so we can chose to return to him. The day to day tests or challenges gives us the opportunity to show the Lord our intent. I'm truly grateful he blessed us with Repentance and His Forgiveness. Without it we would be in a world of hurt. By testing out prayer, faith, hope, and other principles I've found the experiences I have prove God is real and he exists. Through tough choices, even in my darkest hour, I've gone to the Lord and asked for help. Even when I felt I didn't deserve it, He was there to comfort, uplift or show me what I needed to do to Repent. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the truest thing in the life. The most important resource to keep me on track to someday live with our Father above. It is my wish that I will return home someday and see you there too. After all, you are my spirit brother or sister. Family has always been important to me, and it saddens me to see not everyone knows what I know. This life is a test to see if we can be a big family here. Let us love better and deeper. This is my testament that Christ does live. He loves us so much he gave of himself to help us return to a LOVING Heavenly Father. What an exciting thing to have in our grasp. He wants each of his children to come home on his terms, ones we already shouted with joy in Heaven to be apart of.

How I live my faith

I love to volunteer to help out with the children at church, as well as the women's group. I've been asked to plan activities and events, teach and lead in these two auxiliaries. I've helped with the youth in communities where I've lived in school districts. My family has moved a lot due to being a Navy wife. I seek to find ways to give back to the community. We've just recently moved to our current home 3 months ago; but our last residence I was able to organize and plan a fund raiser for the foster children in our community. They needed school supplies and we were able to cut down the needed list drastically.
