Hi I'm Jim

I grew up in Colorado, but now I live in Ohio. I love social media; I play the drums; I referee HS basketball; and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father, a grandfather, a husband, a weekend golfer, a former basketball player, too old now, and a lover of classic rock and roll. I play drums in a small band (Blynde Llama) whenever I can find the time. I currently work for CIMdata, a small consulting company with engineering customers all around the world. I am in charge of our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) education, and I have been in this type of business since 1984, when I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Design Engineering Technology.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church, but I wasn't really converted until I spent two wonderful years as a full-time missionary in Taiwan. I cannot imagine what my life would be like without the church. I know that I would not be the person I am today without the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life.

How I live my faith

I am involved in many aspects of the church that allow me to serve and work with the members. I enjoy the many opportunities for service that being a member of the LDS church affords me.

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

When Jesus was on the earth, he set up a church with 12 apostles to guide the work. This was meant to be an example of how His church should be set up. I am grateful for a living prophet and 12 apostles that guide God's church today. Show more Show less
