Hi I'm Josh

I'm a young father and college student living a mormon life.

About Me

I love spending time with my family! Whether it is at the park, riding in the car, or sharing time at home, time spent with my family is priceless and precious to me. Playing soccer, making music, gardening, fishing, and skateboarding are occasional hobbies I enjoy also. I am currently pursing a career as a Database Administrator which requires a Baccalaureate Degree in Business Management Information Systems. I am a Mormon attending a predominantly Baptist University yet I am grateful for the environment there. It's nice to be surrounded by others with similar standards. I enjoy having frequent conversations about God and Jesus Christ and the gospel. I not only enjoy having religious conversations, but it makes my soul rejoice to talk about the things pertaining unto God and eternal life. One thing you should know about me is that I have a testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I know that God and Jesus Christ live! The everlasting gospel has been restored by the prophet Joseph Smith, who is a prophet of God. As the prophet Joseph Smith has declared in the introduction of the Book of Mormon, I too declare that the Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ and if we abide by it's precepts we may draw closer to God than by abiding by the precepts of any other book. I know this by the power of the Holy Ghost - who is sent by the Father to testify of truth.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I seek the Lord's help daily. The Lord God leads and guides me because He cares about me and wants me to be reunited with Him in His kingdom after my work here on Earth is done. He rejoices when I rejoice, cries when I cry, and is grateful when my heart is full of gratitude towards Him. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's restored church on the face of the Earth today; the Lord God has mercifully revealed that to me, after I have exercised faith and efforts to understand His will. A knowledge of God's true church comes by faith in His son, Jesus the Christ, and through a confirming witness of the Holy Spirit - who is an advocate of truth and light for the Lord. Though an answer from the Lord of His true church is enough to follow Him, the many blessings that I have received in my life by His merciful hands make that journey all the more enjoyable and, in a sense, rewarding. Some blessings that I am grateful for the most are the guidance of the Lord through a busy schedule of family life, work, servitude in the Lord's church, and college. The blessings of the Lord are many and great! How Great Is Our God!

How I live my faith

I endeavor to live my faith on a daily basis. Mornings begin with communicating with Heavenly Father through prayer. Days are filled by striving to draw closer to God by following the example of His son, Jesus Christ. Evenings are spent with the family around the dinner table, scripture study, prayers and singing. I know I'm far from perfect in all things, so I make an effort to surround myself with goodness and righteousness to help aid in my efforts of becoming like the Savior. I realize that God uses the collective lessons of the experiences in my life to speak to me. He lovingly tells me what I need to work on. I am grateful for His patience with me and for His love.
