Hi I'm Josh

I grew up in Utah, served a mission in Spain, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and a father to one little girl. I work as a technical support manager for a local software company and am a huge technology enthusiast. I don't really get into gaming that much but am a big server nut. One final thing is that I am a major baseball and Yankees fan!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon. Once you have a testimony that the Book of Mormon was translated by the power and authority of God then everything else about the Gospel will ring true. It is by this testimony that you belief in God and his Gospel will grow.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping very busy/involved in church activities and with other members of the church. I am an executive secretary, which means I organize the schedule of our Bishop. I am involved in helping all of the people in our area that need to meet with Bishop. I also keep busy in helping all of my neighbors move in and out, mostly because I live in a condo association and there is a lot of moving going on.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

The reason stems from the fact that everything that we have is given to us from God. With that in mind, God has asked his children throughout most of history that they return just 10% of their earnings to his Church for it's upkeep. Even Abraham paid tithes to Melchizedek. Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is a record of the people of the Americas from before, during, and after the time of Christ. It is a spiritual record like unto the Bible but of a different group of people outside of Jerusalem. The Lord loves his people no matter where they are located and his dealings with the people in the Americas is chronicled in the Book of Mormon. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Clergy in the LDS faith serve out of their own ambition for the Gospel. The Lord continually calls members to serve in different capacities for different periods of time. Show more Show less
