Hi I'm Angela

I am half Japanese, wish I could sing better than I do, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in WY near Yellowstone. My dad is from Japan and my mom is from UT, so that makes me half Japanese! They are the most amazing parents ever and I love them. I am the oldest of 4 and have 1 brother and 2 sisters. In high school I played soccer (I definitely was not the best players, but had a lot of fun!) and was on Student Council. I graduated from college with a Bachelors in Speech Pathology. After college I served a mission, which was hard, but completely incredible. After coming home, I went to graduate school and got a M.A. in Speech Pathology. Now I work in an elementary school as a Speech Pathologist with students that definitely keep me laughing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I developed a personal testimony that God lives, that Jesus is the Christ, and that this is His true Church. My testimony has come from daily trying the live the gospel and feeling the Spirit in my life. It has come by receiving answers to prayers and studying the scriptures. It has come by repenting and feeling the peace that comes from the Savior. Maybe these seem simple, but "by small and simple things are great things brought to pass."

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving those around me (most importantly my family) and obeying the commandments. When I am put in difficult situations, I try to respond how Jesus Christ would, thought I am definitely not perfect at this. Right now am very involved in the young women's organization (girl's ages 12-17). I serve in the leadership of this organization along with 3 other amazing women. Together we help make sure that each young woman feels loved and nourished spiritually. We are also responsble for conducting the meetings, organzing weekly activities, and teaching lessons. Serving in my congregation is my passion!!!!

What is faith?

Faith is believing and then acting on that belief. It involves not only believing in God, but trusting in Him and His timing. Show more Show less
