Hi I'm Joel Warner

I am retired and enjoying life with my bride. Our lives now revolve around our children and grandchildren.

About Me

Hi. My wife and I have been married 48 years and have 7 children. We live in Jacksonville, Florida, although we are from San Francisco and Denver respectively. My wife and I are involved in family, church and social activities, with an emphasis on grandchildren. We have always enjoyed being involved with people. We were missionaries in Australia and had a wonderful experience with the people and culture. Our 24 grandchildren keep us young, active, alert and alive!

Why I am a Mormon

Although my parents and grandparents were faithful members of the Church, I had to make my own decision. They supported me in this and in my other life pursuits. I have had many spiritual confirmations of the reality of the living Christ and the divine calling of the prophets and apostles on the earth today. God does not leave his children alone, but nurtures us, whether we are in the ninety and nine or we are the lost lamb who needs rescuing.

How I live my faith

Believing and doing are two separate things. But if we truly love the Savior and are grateful for his atonement in our behalf, we do as he says -- namely "Keep my commandments." The commandments are the key to happiness and not a burden at all, once they are properly understood. So each day I try to make my walk and conversation consistent with the teaching and example of the Lord. Some days I actually succeed a little!

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Joel Warner
Absolutely! Why wouldn't the Lord speak to his children through prophets today? He did in the past. Surely, in today's world with today's problems, the voice of God through his prophets would be precious indeed. Prophetic guidance is a great blessing in my life. Show more Show less
