Hi I'm Don

I grew up in the Idaho "arctic". I am currently a resident ophthalmologist in "balmy" Florida. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have two brothers. I love football, baseball, and basketball. I enjoy camping and fishing. I have been married for five years.

Why I am a Mormon

To me, being a member of the church brings peace and clarity amidst the challenging times of life. I lost my best friend the day my Dad died. Because I know what happens to people when they die, and I understand why bad things happen to good people, and because I have been given the influence of the Holy Ghost in my life, I found peace in a time of turmoil. God took resentment from my heart and replaced it with gratitude.

How I live my faith

I currently teach the 14-18 year old Sunday School class. I think they teach me more than I teach them, and I thank God for the opportunity to teach His children.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

In Old Testament times, the LORD instructed men to give tithes (or ten percent) to the church. He promised amazing blessings to the people who obeyed (Malachi 3:8-12). God loves people in our day as much as He loved those people and has given us the opportunity to receive the same blessings. Show more Show less
