Hi I'm Lionell Bennett

I grew up near the Okefenokee Swamp. I am a country boy and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father of three daughters and a son, and grandfather of nine. All of their families are active in the gospel. This is a wonderful blessing to me. Family has always been important to me. I try to encourage them to keep the commandments as they encourage me to. I worked for a large food manufacturing corporation for 33 years and now I work in a local college bookstore. What a change?

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with attending the church. My mother was instrumental in my activity until I was able to understand the teachings of the church and gain a testimony for myself.

How I live my faith

The Church helps me understand ways that I can learn more about our Savior's gospel and live by the things that I learn. And to become a better example to my family and friends.

Are Mormons Christians?

Lionell Bennett
I often get the question,"Are Mormons Christians?" I start the answer by the usual little joke - "look at the full church name "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints" and laugh. Then it gives me a chance to let them know how important I feel His birth, life, atonement and resurrection is to me and how important it is to me to know that He did what he did, not just for everyone, but for me as an individual.
