Hi I'm Juliann

I love books, kids, and flowers. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and home schooling mother of three. I'm also an oil painter and a struggling novelist. I enjoy sewing clothing for my family, and doing karate with my family. As my sensai says, "The family who kicks together, sticks together".

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a little girl, I had the opportunity to witness my mother's incredible faith in the Savior. We grew up in poverty, but when she prayed, angels came, and we never went hungry. As I've grown and experienced life's ups and downs, I've had the opportunity to feel the Savior's love for me, and the greatest miracle of all, the atonement in my life, giving me the strength to overcome weaknesses and obstacles. I reflect on the scripture about the rock, our Savior, and if we build upon that, we cannot fail! I know the Savior is my light, and with him I cannot fail.

How I live my faith

I think my favorite part of attending my branch, is choir. I love hearing how all the individuals with their weaknesses and frailties can join together and create glorious music that you simply can't create alone. I think that's how it's supposed to be, all of us together striving to lift each other.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

There's a general mission fund that members can donate to, but missions are generally paid for by the individual who wants to go on a mission. Some people save up for years to pay their way, while other parents make a mission fund, similar to a college fund for their children. Show more Show less
