Hi I'm Clint

I grew up in Spring, Texas. I have been married for a year and a half and we couldn't be happier.

About Me

I have been married for a year and a half and my wife and I have a blast together. We couldn't be happier. I am currently studying finance, preparing to go into investment banking (hopefully haha). I love to play basketball, either at Gold's Gym or at the church. I would much rather get my cardio with basketball than with running. I really enjoy learning about web design and already have an e-commerce website.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know, independent of anyone else, that God restored his church to the earth through his prophet, Joseph Smith. I don't see how I could become a member of another church since I know this to be true. I didn't always have this testimony, but gained it while serving a mission in Miacatlan, Mexico. I have always known the church is true, because of the feelings of peace the principles that are taught give me. I did however want a personal testimony about the prophet Joseph Smith. So, I got on my knees one night under the stars to pray and ask God for a personal confirmation of that truth. I prayed harder than I have for anything in my whole life. Even after praying for quite a while, I still felt nothing and went inside greatly discouraged. As I climbed into my bed, I suddenly felt this wave of emotion and feeling go through my body. I felt this deep peace in my heart and mind, a strong confirmation that my Father in Heaven had restored his one and only true church to the earth through His prophet Joseph Smith. I have never doubted since that day.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday, I attend my local congregation. I don't go for social reasons, or because it is what my parents want me to go. I go to worship my God and be instructed on how I can change to be a better disciple of Christ. I currently have 3 families that I visit once a month. I prayerfully prepare a message that I feel would be of benefit to them and share it with them in my monthly visit. I also live my faith by following the counsel give my Thomas S. Monson, the living prophet on the earth today. Every month, President Monson or one of his counselors give a message to all the members of the church around the world in the church's magazine the Ensign. In addition, twice a year all the church watches our prophet and other leaders of the church in a worldwide broadcast called General Conference.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

While I was in Mexico on my mission for the church, I did not receive any funding from the church to pay for expenses. Money I had saved up, along with help from my parents helped fund my mission. Show more Show less
