Hi I'm Jackie

I am a mother, grandmother, and a music teacher. Now I am disabled. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a southern girl. I met my husband at college and married before graduation. After having 5 children I finished my degree and tought elementary music in both public and private school. I am now disabled and can't teach but I fill my time with Family History and my grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

It has been over 40 years now but I remember when I first learned about the Book of Mormon it made my Bible make so much more sense. I had tried to read the Bible but a lot of it didn't make sense to me. All these years later I am a Mormon because the more I live the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints the happier I become. As I read the Book of Mormon and other Scripture, listen to the words of the prophets, pray to Heavenly Father, and accept the atoning sacrifice of my Savior my faith and my testimony grows and so does my joy.

How I live my faith

Since I no longer teach music I am very involved with music at church. I also share a message with other ladies in the church each month and offer service where needed. The largest part of my life is spent researching and organizing family history. I can do this on the internet from home. I even self published a family history book. I have met lots of cousins that way. Now I am beginning to write a personal history for my grandchildren.
