Hi I'm Michelle

I just graduated with a degree in psychology. I love the theater. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I have just finished my bachelor's degree in psychology and am now ready to face the next phase of my life. I hope to further my studies by focusing on the neurological end of this field. I love going to see plays and also being involved in local theater. I have acted since I was little and am now going to try directing. Even though I love the stage, I am often quiet and shy I am working on being more outgoing around people. I am the oldest of five kids, and while growing up, I enjoyed traveling across the country with my family. I also enjoy fishing and camping. Other "hobbies" include cooking and reading. I love being involved with church. I currently attend a young single adult ward and teach the Sunday School class every few weeks.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon church and so have been a member all of my life. However, there was a time in my life where I had make the decision to find out whether I followed the teachings of the Church because that was what my parents wanted or because that was what I wanted. After study, thought, and prayer, I came to the conclusion and knowledge that I am in this church because it is where I want to be. I have had prayers answered telling me that this is the right place to be and that this is where my Father in Heaven wants me to be. It has been confirmed to me through the Spirit that this is the true church and all the things taught in it are true. Because I know that it is true, I want to always live my life in accordance with its teachings and I strive every day to follow the example of my Savior Jesus Christ and try to live as He lived. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the absolute most important thing in my life.

How I live my faith

Because I am a student, I have moved around a lot over the past few years as I go between school and home. However, the church is the same wherever you go. I participate mostly in young single adult wards (where no one is married yet) and have had many opportunities to serve others and reach out to them. This has included teaching others in my ward church lessons on Sundays. Living the gospel is just that--living it. Being a member of this church defines all that I do; it is who I am. Everything I do--whether I am at school, at work, driving, talking, with friends--all relates back to the Church because of ingrained habits I have obtained by striving to live my life in a way that matches up with its teachings.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

We believe that we all lived together before we came to earth with our Heavenly Father. We also believe that our existence does not end with death, but that we will continue to live forever, for all eternity. The purpose of this life is to gain a physical body and prove to Heavenly Father that we will obey his words. If we do so, we will again live with our Father in Heaven. Show more Show less
