Hi I'm Amber

I grew up all over the world, I am mental health therapist working to prevent child abuse in my community. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a professional mental health counselor, I help a wide variety of clients overcome obstacles in their lives. Also, I serve on several multi agnecy and disciplinary teams working to prevent child abuse and promote healthy families in our community. With my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, especially my three nephews. I love learning new things, watching football, traveling, going to the beach, and just relaxing with good music.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Mormon Church, but like everyone else I had to obtain my own testimony, my own witness that the Mormon Church was true. In my early teens I began to question if there was even a God and if the Mormon church was God's church on earth. I remember feeling completely confused and unsure of the truth. After over year of questioning and doubting, I finally prayed and asked Heavenly Father if he was there and if he loved me. As I prayed I felt this overwhelming feelings of love and peace. I knew I had a loving Heavenly Father and I knew the Mormon church was his church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving my Heavenly Father. My occupation, my community service, my church service I do because I love my Father in Heaven and I want to serve him. He has given me all. The least I can do devote my time, talents, and energy to serving his children.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

We all are spirit children of our Heavenly Father. He loves, cares about, watches over, guides and leads us. As we prayer to him, we can feel his spirit and get to know him better. Also, as we serve his children we come to better understand him and his character because we are doing his work. Show more Show less
