Hi I'm Aly

I am married, a student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I were married in the temple on New Years Eve 2009. I have a passion for letterpress and graphic design. I love bikram yoga, hiking, rock climbing, and anything outdoors. Currently the only other member of our family is our boxer dog, Lucy!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon faith, but did not always know that it was true. It wasn't until my late teens, after facing some adversity and trials in my life that I realized I needed to know for myself. For the first time I was going to church, studying the scriptures, and praying with real intent to find out the truth. It was not easy and there were times when I could have given up, but I am glad that I didn't. Once I gained my own personal testimony I knew I had to share it. I then served a mission in California. I began telling everyone that they too can know what I know, which is Jesus Christ lives and loves us and His church is on the earth today!

How I live my faith

My husband and I, along with another couple are nursery leaders. Nursery is a class that the 18 month to 3 year old children attend. Every Sunday we have the opportunity to be with the children and teach them things like how to pray or who Jesus Christ is. The children are all so innocent and sweet and even though I am their teacher, I in fact learn just as much from them each week.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

The Mormon Church or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ's church. He is the founder and core of our religion. However after His crucifixion and the death of the apostles, Christ's church was broken up and His authority was lost. It was then restored and reestablished in 1830 by Joseph Smith Show more Show less
