Hi I'm Gus Lindemann

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I fix cars. I sell cars. I coach high school football. I am a college graduate with a business management degree. I have owned my own automotive businesses for over twenty years. My wife and I have been married over 20 years. We have three kids; two in college and one in high school. My family & I enjoy water skiing and wakeboarding. We enjoy riding ATV's together. We enjoy playing sports. Well, my wife enjoys sports when HER KIDS are playing. She sometimes comes to watch me coach! We have a lot of fun together as a family. We go on family trips. We have the most fun, when our family trips are going to visit more family. My children have a lot of cousins, and they all have fun together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it made sense. I grew up in a God fearing home and we went to a Lutheran church. I knew God existed, and I knew God loved us. As I was in high school, I had a lot of questions. I wondered why God would have Prophets on the Earth in Old & New Testament times, but not today? I wondered why God would have ancient Scriptures, but why wouldn't He continue to teach us today? I wondered why would churches would baptize infants? I wonder, shouldn't we baptize by submersion, just like Christ was baptized? I am a member of the Mormon church because I found the answer to all these questions. God does have a Prophet on the Earth today to lead us and guide us. God does reveal his desires to us through modern day revelation. God has revealed to us an age of accountability. That means that we do not require infants and small children to be baptized. We know that God will take care of ALL those children that die and are not baptized before the age of Eight. And for those that are Eight years old and older, and want to speak for themselves and be baptized, they are baptized by submersion, just like Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

As members of the Mormon church, we do a lot of service; in our church and in our community. The Mormon church provides assistance to people all over the world, especially after natural disasters. We have a cannery in our area. I have volunteered at the cannery to can corn, or pears, or to make tomato soup. By giving of my time, I can help people across the world.
