Hi I'm Aaron

I too am a Mormon.

About Me

Born and raised in Provo, UT. I enjoy life with a wonderful wife and 3 great kids. 2 Boys and a little girl, ages 16, 14 and 10. I'm not a fan of the Utah cold winters, but I love the comfortable summers of Northern Utah. I enjoy reading and golfing as hobbies. We also like to travel to warm places with beach and with a golf course or two nearby. I have a BA in Economics, a MBA with specialization in International Finance, and a PhD in Organization Management specialization in Entrepreneurship. I currently work for a company which provides online solutions in various industries.

Why I am a Mormon

It fits me. I feel blessed and humbled to have a knowledge of where I came from, and where I am going. I feel badly for those that live life with those big questions bouncing around in their heads. Some of the most frustrating times in my life have come when I have been asked to accomplish a task, but then wasn't given very clear instructions on how to get it done. Life without knowing about God and His plan for each of us, would be frustrating and lack any peace. To hopefully alleviate some of that worry for others is partly why I'm I am finishing this Mormon.org profile. I hope someone, somewhere reads this and reaches out for answers to bring peace and calm to their lives. God wants His children to know who they are, know where they are from and know where they are going. I was blessed with faith from a young age. When my parents shared their testimonies, it always made me feel good inside. I took great comfort in my mother's conversion story. She was raised a Catholic, but felt there was more out there, that Heavenly Father had a different message, a more fulfilling, personal message. She took the time to attend a variety of churches on her own, at the age of 16-17. When she eventually got the opportunity to attend a Mormon church, she said it felt "like home" from the moment she walked in, and that changed her life, and mine as well. Personally, I earned my own testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel by reading and praying, much as others have done. I love the Book of Mormon, I have read it over and over and each time I learn more, I feel more, I believe more deeply in my Savior and I feel I am closer to becoming the person Heavenly Father hopes me to become. I know through reading and studying of the Book of Mormon everyone can come to a knowledge of why they are here, who they truly are, how much their Heavenly Father loves them and that their sins have been paid by a loving Savior. The Book of Mormon is a real path to peace on earth.

How I live my faith

My belief in a loving Heavenly Father and in His Son, Jesus Christ influences me everyday, it helps me keep an eternal perspective. When I am faced with choices, I try to take time to think of the long-term risks/benefits to me and others, not only in this life, but potentially how it could affect my eternal life. This perspective helps me make better choices. When I live life with an eternal perspective, I make better choices. I think we humans make some of our poorest choices when we react to something, without a proper perspective, without thought concerning the consequences. Because I know I have been sealed to my wife and kids for the eternities, I value those relationships to a higher degree than I would otherwise, so my choices are an investment in forever, not just for the here and now.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

A wife and husband work together as equal partners in marriage to raise, love and provide for their children. Parents work to provide their children an environment where they can learn and grow, and eventually understand who they are, literal daughters and sons of a living God. Show more Show less
