Hi I'm Alishia

I am a daughter, a wife, a mother, a writer, a painter and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom of six wonderful kids and have been married to my wonderful husband of fourteen years, whom I love very much. In my spare time, I paint Folk & Children's Art that I sometimes sell on Ebay or Etsy and am an author of four e books. I love to (in no particular order) read, write, paint, run, play with my kids, spend time with my husband and talking your ear off!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up not going to church and had always felt like something was missing...I did pray in my own way and knew of the Bible, but had never read it. When I was a teenager I started investigating religions, but never found one that "fit". I made a friend while training in the Army and today he and his family are considered family. After a year of his unwavering faith and many "invites" to church, I finally went. Thirteen years later I am glad that I did. The moment I walked through those doors thirteen years ealier, the emptiness in my heart, that I had carried since my pre-teens was suddenly lifted. I knew then and still to this day, this was the right church. The true Church of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Nobody is perfect. Our father in Heaven definitaly knows this. I try to live a moral Christian life, like everyone else. I currently help in the Nursery and love it! The LDS church encourages "Family home Evenings" normaly held on Mondays. This is a great opprotunity to teach of the doctrine to my kids as well as getting that important family quality time. As a LDS I support the church's beliefs in respect for myself and for fellow children of God....
