We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Hi I'm Tony Parrott

I'm Adopted, a Go Getter, a Missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was Born in Misawa, Japan. I was put up for adoption at birth. I'm blessed to be adopted into a wonderful family. I'm the second oldest of 7 kids. I'm from South Carolina, and I am serving a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Riverside, California! I love the Gospel and the blessings that i recieve and that I see others recieve from it! Nothing could be better. I've played piano for 12 years. I sing, I draw. I love Life! I'm planning on getting a degree in Architecture after my mission. I'm looking forward for what the future has to offer, and I don't worry, because I have the joy and the guidance that is needed.

Why I am a Mormon

Simply because I had a desire to know truth and truth was revealed. One simple formula. Desire, Motivation, Action, all leads to prayer. No person or website convinced me it was right and true, but I went the ultimate source of all Knowledge and truth: My Heavenly Father. I know all can do the same. Out of all the other views and great beliefs out there, this one made since and was so clear to me. The difference from everything else, is that i found Joy.....not just tempory happiness, but an everlasting, non-ending, infinite Joy. I felt that I was brought one step closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ and My Father in Heaven, and i continue to do so everyday.

How I live my faith

I'm a full-time representative of the church for two years in the California Riverside Mission! I live, love, and declare what i believe and what brings me the most Joy.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Tony Parrott
As a personal representative of Jesus Christ, I know for a fact that as Mormons, we do believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, our Savior! Jesus Christ was prophesied that he would come down to earth and be the Savior and Redeemer of all mankind, for those who lived, are living and will live and breath life on this earth. From the beginning in the Bible, the prophets testified that there would be a Savior. Jesus Christ was chosen to be our mediator with God from before the foundations of the world. It was a part of God's great plan of happiness, and He was God's gift to us. Jesus Christ, who is a member of the Godhead, and the literal Son of God, was born of the virgin Mary in Bethlehem, the land of Jerusalem. He came on his Father's errand to lead all men to the truth and to have them walk in the paths of righteousness so that they could be worthy to pass through this mortal experience and once again return to the presence of our Heavenly Father. He led a perfect life, serving others, loving others, and being strictly and perfectly obedient to everything that was commanded by God. As one of the greatest prophets, and especially as the Savior, he established his Gospel, built the foundation of the Church, and brought the truth to the earth. although little by little, the things that were taught by Christ were lost and twisted and changed. This led to the start of a falling away from the truth. Because of this, people rejected Christ, but this was all a part of the plan. Jesus Christ was taken and mocked and rejected. "He was despised and rejected of men a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief.......he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities....and by his stripes we are healed." Isa. 533-5. He suffered for the sins and pains and affliction of all the world. So much was the suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane, that he sweat great drops of blood. He was led up on Calvary bearing his own cross. There he was crucified and died for all mankind. He was laid in the tomb and three days later arose from the grave. He overcame death. He was resurrected. He overcame the obstacle of death that we couldn't overcome by ourselves. It is a gift and a promise to all that we will all be resurrected one day. It is the miraculous act of the Atonement, that ultimate sacrifice that changed the world. He is the mediator between us and God. He "succors us according to our infirmities" meaning he is there to help us in whatever trial we are going through. He knows us personally. He loves us personally. As we put our faith in him, all things are possible and there comes a peace that passeth all understanding. He is our Savior and Redeemer. He is my Savior and Redeemer and what joy it brings to my heart to know that He has done such a wonderful thing for me. Through Jesus Christ we can make it back to the presence of God. As his Son, it's his role to do that to help us along this journey. It is only through Him can we obtain our salvation. As we fully put our trust in the Son of God, "all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel." Articles of Faith 13 Show more Show less
