Hi I'm Ryan M.

I've moved around the Western U.S. While growing up. I'm a Mormon

About Me

While growing up I moved around a bit, so, I've seen a bit of the Western and Mid-Western USA. Illinois is the farthest east I've lived, and Alaska's the farthest west. So, I've seen a bit of the country. And moved around quite a bit. And while moving around lived in some remote, and beautiful regions of this country. I apologize if this is hard to read, but, I'm not that good at writing. But, I decided to give this a try, and hopefully you'll find something in here that's useful. Hopefully the Spirit will be able to touch you through my words.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe that the Church of Jesus Christ was restored to the earth, the same Church that He (Christ) setup when He was on the earth. I'm a Mormon because I believe that there is a Living Prophet today, just as there were living Prophets in the scriptures. I'm a Mormon because I believe that the Book of Mormon is additional Scripture, comparable to the Bible. And that the Book of Mormon proves that the Bible is the Word of God; that Jesus is the Christ; and that once again, there are Living Prophets on the earth today, to lead and guide us. I'm a Mormon because I believe, and I know, and the Holy Spirit has shown me that this, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the True Church of God, restored to the earth. I'm a Mormon because I believe.

How I live my faith

There are many ways that I live my Faith. And, likely, many more that I don't even recognize, since they are things that are so much a part of my personality that I don't even know I'm doing them. But, there are also many ways that I do live my faith, and I'll try and share some of those here though, I won't be able to share all of them, as that would take far to much space. And, I don't have the time to list everything, so, I'll just list some that I can think of. One of the biggest ways that I've lived my faith is that I recently served a Full-Time Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Where I spent two years going out and helping people, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them. Which is Faith in Jesus Christ, Repentance, Baptism by immersion for the Remission of sins, and Receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End. See Articles of Faith Verse 4

What is the Book of Mormon?

Ryan M.
The Book of Mormon is an ancient record. It is comparable to the Bible, and works with the Bible, to prove that both records are true, and that Jesus is the Christ. The Book of Mormon does not supersede or replace the Bible, it is meant to be used with the Bible, to help enhance our understanding of both, and to bring us closer to Christ. The Book of Mormon records the history of a people who left Jerusalem around 600 B.C. because of persecution. And who were guided by the Lord to the Americas. The Book of Mormon then continues to catalog their history; including many of the teachings of the Prophets who were sent to them by God, our Heavenly Father. The climax of the Book of Mormon is the personal appearance of the Lord Jesus Christ to the people in the American continent, following the Crucifixion and Resurrection. This section of the Book of Mormon contains many of Christ's teachings to the people, and shows the that our Heavenly Father loves all of His children; and wants all of them (His children) to have the opportunity to return to live with Him. The Book of Mormon then continues after the appearance of Christ, telling how the people followed Him for over two hundred years, but eventually rejected Christ and His teachings, and were eventually destroyed. The Book of Mormon then ends around 400 A.D. with the writings of Moroni, the last Prophet to write in the Book of Mormon. Moroni records how the people have rejected the teachings of Christ, and have become a wicked and evil people who are “without principle, and past feeling”. Moroni, Chapter 9, Verse 20, The Book of Mormon Then, Moroni finishes the record, the Book of Mormon, with an invitation to pray and ask God if the Book of Mormon is true; “And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.” Moroni, Chapter 10, Verses 4-5, The Book of Mormon I know that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God, and that if you follow Moroni's (and the Lord's) invitation to pray to God, and ask Him if the Book of Mormon is true, that He will give you an answer. He will show you, through the Holy Spirit that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God, that does contain the writings of the Holy Prophets, and even the Words of Christ Himself. I know that you will get an answer because I've received my answer. And I know that our Heavenly Father will answer all the prayers of His children, because He loves each and every one of us, and He wants us to follow His Son, Jesus Christ, and to return and live with Him again. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. And I know that if you read it, and pray about it, you will come to know that it is true too. Show more Show less
