Hi I'm John

I love snowboarding, rock climbing, and metal guitars. I'm a Morman.

About Me

I'm from Southern California, Moreno Valley specifically, and I love an active lifestyle. My favorite sports are snowboarding and rock climbing, and I enjoy all kinds of music. Before serving a mission, I attended a community college near my home and and want to enter the medical profession as a neurologist. I'm an eagle scout, and graduated high school with honors.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised a member of the church, like every other member, I gained a testimony of the the truth that this is Christs church here upon the earth, re-established through modern prophets. As I studied the book of mormon, comteplated the things it taught me, and prayed sincerely to know the truth, and what God would have me do, I came to a knowledge through the testimony of the Holy Spirit that this is Christ's true church here upon the earth. It is for this reason that I am serving a mission, and for this reason that I will always do my best to serve God and follow his commandments.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my works. We're taught that if we follow the commandments, we can receive all the blessings God wishes to give us, but are made conditional on us asking and following his word. One way I show my faith in God is by serving Him as a missionary, by preching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and inviting others to come unto Him, and exercise their faith in Christ by following him in all things. I do my best to follow the commandments and "be an example of the believers."

Are Mormons Christians?

Aboslutely! A christian is anyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ, the only begotten of the Father, and that he suffered for the sins of the world. Out entire religion, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Gospel we preach and profess, hinge upon The Atonement of Jesus Christ. Without our Savior, we would be lost. Even our unique cannon, The Book of Mormon, and other modern revelations testify with power and clarity of the divinity of Jesus Christ. It is through studying the Book of Mormon, Bible, and words of the modern prophets I know that Christ lives, that he is our Savior, and through faith on his name and following his example we can be free from sin, and the burdens of guilt and shame it brings. What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Missionaries visit people's homes in an effort to share the message unique to our church: that God has again reached out in love to us, and revealed his will and Gospel through a living prophet. We also will share the besic beliefs of The Church of Jesus Christ and invite anyone who will listen to follow the council of God and seek after him. We simply invite all people on earth to read, ponder, and pray about our message to know of it's truth. Show more Show less
