Do you want to chat with a missionary?

We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Hi I'm Jac

I'm a music fanatic, blogger, sister, and a full-time missionary. I love to laugh and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Jac was a nickname given to me as a kid and it kind of just stuck. I always have and always will love the outdoors. I enjoy camping, snowboarding, wakeboarding and water skiing, and going to the sand dunes. Mostly I just love being outside. I love music. I love my family and I love rain. I will forever be a child at heart and love playing games. Board games, card games, any kind of game. I enjoy playing sports and just exploring the great outdoors I graduated from college with a degree in Communications, but have no idea what want to do when I grow up. I will figure that out when I get home from my mission. I am currently a missionary in the Philadelphia Pennsylvania Mission and loving every minute of it! I love being a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon church and always believed what my parents taught me. However, when I was14 years old I became curious to know for myself if what I had been taught my whole life was really true. I wanted to know for myself if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was really God's true church on the earth. So I took the challenge given in the introduction of the Book of Mormon to read and then pray and ask God if the book and the church was true. I got an answer from the spirit that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church on earth today. I cannot and will never deny that. I know that being a part of this church brings me happiness, peace, and comfort. This gospel helps me through the hard times and helps me know what things I need to do in order to return to live with Heavenly Father. I am a mormon because of the joy living the gospel each and every day brings to my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by following Jesus Christ. He is the perfect example and I want to be like Him. Today I am living my faith by being a full time missionary for the church. Everyday I try and do only things that would please my Heavenly Father. I love sharing what makes me happy (the gospel) with others. I love to teach people as a missionary and tell them about The Book of Mormon and that book will change lives if we let it.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Jac
Missionaries share a message about Jesus Christ. The message missionaries share focuses on how the church Christ set up while He was on the earth, is back on the earth today. In their visit missionaries will invite people to pray, read from the Book of Mormon, and attend church. The missionaries teach others how to find truth for themselves, and teach them how they can find happiness and learn the things they need to do in this life in order to return to live with Heavenly Father. Who was Joseph Smith?

Jac
Joseph Smith was a young boy who at 14 years old was concerned about religion. He wanted to belong to God's true church. He wanted to do what God wanted him to do. He knew the only way to know what God wanted for him and which church he should join was to pray and to ask God. So Joseph Smith did just that. He received and answer to his prayer. Joseph Smith prayed and saw a vision where Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him and told him that none of the churches were true. Joseph Smith was then called to be a propeht and was authorized to restore Christ's church back on the earth. Show more Show less
