Hi I'm Harmon

I'm a Project Manager for a technology company. I'm a cancer survivor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and dad with three grown children. My hobbies are reading, photography, collecting coins, and I am totally hooked on family history! I love discovering my family and who they were. Family is the most important part of my life. I love the Church's teaching of forever families and how the Temple provides an opportunity for our family from past generations to be linked to my family of today.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ as contained in the Bible and the Book of Mormon makes sense to me. Together, these books of scripture explain who Jesus and Heavenly Father are and my relationship to them. I understand my purpose and value in this life because I am a Mormon. I know I am loved by Jesus and my Heavenly Father because of the restored gospel taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ... the Mormons.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday with my family. I love Jesus Christ. He is my Savior and Lord. I look forward to the Sacrament service each Sunday, I feel God's Love and Forgiveness. I am a Family History Consultant and I help others with their family history research.

What is the difference between attending a Mormon Church and a Mormon Temple?

Our church buildings are where we attend Sunday worship services, hold weekday meetings and activities, etc. We invite everyone to join us in these meetings. Temples are where Church members in good standing make sacred covenants with God. When Church members are marriaged in the temple, we call it being "sealed", because we believe we are married for all time and not "until death do you part". A temple marriage is the start of a forever family. Show more Show less
