We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Hi I'm Eric

I'm the youngest of nine children. I play the violin, and I have a passion for computer technology. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Born in the midwest, I grew up near farm country without ever moving once. I started playing the violin when I was five and still like to play to this day. I learned my ABCs from a computer keyboard, and that passion for technology never died. Right after serving a mission to the wonderful people of Taiwan (speaking Mandarin), I met the wonderful girl who would become my wife. Now, I work in technology product management and consulting, and I am the proud father of two boys and one girl. I love working with computers, watching movies, skiing, and playing the violin.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While I was a teenager, I began to realize that I needed to decide for myself what I believed. I felt good about participating in the Church and its many programs, and so I began to read the scriptures more thoroughly. When I had an opportunity to spend time by myself in nature and among God's creations, I knew I needed to pray then and there. I was filled with the pure love of Christ that overwhelmed me. Knowing that my Heavenly Father was real, knew me individually, and loved me unconditionally formed the basis of my testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true and living Church of God on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I love being a member of this Church because of the many opportunities I am given to serve others and develop myself. I have been able to serve in a variety of capacities and responsibilities at my local church building, from being a class teacher to building scheduling to president of the Young Men's organization (like a youth group). The church also helps me find others in the community that need help moving or taking care of their lawn, etc. I find it particularly rewarding to be able to utilize my talents in service, whether it be playing a special musical number in church on my violin or helping someone in my neighborhood with computer problems and training.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Eric
Because I have faith in Jesus Christ and what He has done for me and every one else on earth, I know that there is life beyond death. I know that God wants us to be truly happy, and I know that being united with my family forever is the key to that true happiness. This knowledge inspires me to view my relationships with family and friends as more than just a temporary connection while I live my life. These are relationships that can and should last forever. When I think about being with my wife and children forever, I want to work through whatever problems might arise in my marriage. I want to become a better person and live a righteous life so I can be ready and worthy to spend eternity with them. Show more Show less
