Hi I'm Michael

I am a father of seven children, eight grandchildren, lived on two continents and eight US states. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Some of what defines us as people is the company we keep. As it relates to me, that company includes a loving wife and wonderful children. It also includes a Church that provides not only a strong religious background but a support system of people and organizations that allows me to grow.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has provided a course for me, that if followed keeps me happy. This course is centered in the teachings and life of Jesus Christ. I know that my happiness depends of following His teachings. My family and I are happier when we work together to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Unexpectedly on Friday October 29, 2004 I lost my job. Just a little over two years prior, my family and I had moved to the greater Phoenix, Arizona area from half way around the world. Our plans were to stay with my new employer for 20 years and retire. We began a fast the next day and poured our hearts out to the Lord. We received a confirmation that we should open our own business. With a prayer of faith and the savings we had we opened our business the following Wednesday. While it has been tough, fraught with financial worries and plenty of challenges we continue on with faith.

Why do Mormons believe in “eternal life?”

With Eternal being one of God's names, Eternal life thus becomes God's life. I want to live not only with God, but have my family with me. Eternal Life will provide that oppurtunity. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

You can find out if Mormonism is true the same way millions have done it. Ponder the Doctrine of Christ. Ponder what you have learned about Mormon's and then ask God if this is the course for you. I testify that if you do you will have your own testimony of the truthfulness of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

In a commandment given by the Lord in Doctrine & Covenants Section 89 the Mormons "Law of Health" is defined. In that section not only does it tell us what we shouldn't eat and/or drink, it also defines things we should eat. As a Mormon, I believe that if live by this commandment I will be healthier. In an effort to become healthier, during the last 15 months I have lost 85lbs. Show more Show less
