Hi I'm Noel

I'm a student, a historian, an artist, a sister, a daughter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student pursuing a formal education of Genealogical Research and Document Preservation. I'm 4th of 5 children. I have a mixed family now after my Mother remarried after being widowed for several years. I served a full time mission for the church in San Antonio and Austin, TX. I love music of all types, video games, watching films, sewing, storytelling, family history, and art of all kinds.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my home, with loving parents that have always tried to do their best to live righteously. Although I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) I consider myself a convert. I knew through personal prayer, that God would not lie to me. So I studied the doctrines of the church, pondered upon them, and prayed with the faith that God would help me to know if the Book of Mormon was true. Time and time again I have had the Holy Spirit confirm to me that indeed, it is true and that this is His kingdom again restored on the Earth. I am a Mormon because as I earnestly sought God's direction in my life, I have been directed by His Spirit to be a member of this, His church.

How I live my faith

I strive on a daily basis to renew my conviction to the teachings of Christ and the promises I've made with him. I strive to always remember Christ and His sacrifice for me, and to always strive to keep His commandments. The Lord has given His children many tools to help us to receive and retain a remission of our sins. We become closer to Christ and our Heavenly Father by keeping the commandments, loving and serving others, studying the holy scriptures, fervent prayer, attending church services, and many others. Every member has Godly inspired assignments that involve each individual in the building the Kingdom of God on Earth. My "calling", or assignment is to help share Christ's message with others. I also get to visit with other women in my congregation, which helps to ensure the spiritual and temporal nourishment of every member.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Noel
God, our Heavenly Father loves all of his children, no matter when or where they live. The peoples of the ancient Americas knew of God and the coming of His son, Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is an ancient record of the people of the ancient Americas and God's dealings with them. The prophets of the ancient world foretold of the coming of Christ and we learn in the Book of Mormon, that He did indeed appear to their people after His resurrection. Christ said, "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd." (John 10:16) The people of the ancient Americas, as recorded in the Book of Mormon, heard His voice and were taught of His everlasting Gospel. He taught them the same things that he taught to the people of Israel, that they might have the same blessings of the fulfillment of the Law of Moses and the New and Everlasting Gospel. The Lord has also given His gospel again to us in this time, that we might all be one fold and have one shepherd. Show more Show less
