Hi I'm Joshua Camp

I love to talk about Jesus, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to study history and mythology, i am currently working on an American Studies degree with an emphasis on Folklore. I also enjoy being out side hiking, mountain biking, hunting, fishing, skiing, and especially camping. I love to be in the mountains, it is one of the places i feel close to God. I come from a classic big Mormon family, my dad, my mom, 2 brothers, and 5 sisters, whom I love vary much. My family is one of the most important things to me in my life, and I can't imagine my life being happy if even one of them was not there, and I am so thankful to God for my family and for the opportunity for me to be with them forever.

Why I am a Mormon

The way i see it everything I have is a gift from God, down to the vary air I breath. He has given me things that have made my life happy, such as my family, my home, and the scriptures. I love to study religions which is why I am working towards a degree in folklore. I have read many different sacred texts and have found truth in many of them, but the ones that struck me as 100% true would be those that testify of Jesus Christ. I have read the Bible, and through the power of Gods holy spirit he has let me know that it is true. I have also read and studied the words of the Prophet Joseph Smith, and through that same power of God I know that he was called of God to bring back the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have also studied the words of the living prophet to day Thomas S. Monson and just as I know that the Bible is of God and that Joseph Smith was called as a prophet of God, I know that he has been called of God to lead us in these days. I have read The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ, and I know through the same spirit of God, that it is the word of God and that it truly testifies that Jesus Christ is the savior of the world, and of his love for all his children. I know that these things are true, but don't take my word for it. Gain this knowledge for yourself by kneeling down before your God and praying to him through Jesus Christ, and he will let you know through the Holy Spirit that these things are true.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving my God by serving a mission. As I said before God has given me everything and by following his commandments I have been blessed with uncountable blessings and happiness. I am doing as he commanded in the Bible to serve him by serving his children, or my fellow man. I wish simply for others to share the immense blessings and happiness that i have received, by knowing that I am a literal child of God, and that he loves me. Because he loves me he has sent his son Jesus Christ to give me a way that I may repent of all the mistakes that I have made. Because he loves me he had his prophets of old record their stories to witness of him and to let me know what I need to do, and he has given me prophets to lead and guide me to day.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Joshua Camp
I am currently one of those Mormon missionaries and i proselyte, or share the Gospel and my beliefs, because of the happiness that it has brought to me and my family, and my sincerest wish is simply for other to have that same happiness and love in their family's that i have with mine, and that happiness can only be achieved through the Gospel of Christ. Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Joshua Camp
Well you may have herd that we only believe in the Book of Mormon, this is not true. As Mormons we are Christians, the official name of the Book of Mormon is the Book of Mormon Another Testament of Christ. The Bible is vary important to us because it is the ORIGINAL testament of Christ. The Bible teaches of Christ which is the center of our faith, I love the Bible, and the Book of Mormon, because they teach me about Christ and bring me closer to him, which in turn brings me closer to God, my Heavenly Father.
