Hi I'm Rachael

I'm a new mama, a nurse by night, and a lover of all things adventurous and creative by day. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have traveled across the country for him to finish his undergraduate and I went from a West coast girl to living in the South! I work nights as a Registered Nurse on a Med-surg floor. I have always been a free-spirited person. I love being outside, creating anything from a card to a redecorated space, learning to cook and bake, and just trying to balance my life while still keeping it simple. We are anxiously awaiting the birth of our first child, a boy, and are excited for all the adventures new parenthood will bring!

Why I am a Mormon

My greatest goal in life is simply to be happy every day and find joy and peace in the little things. Being a Mormon has allowed me to enjoy simple happiness in my life and truly find peace in a world of so much wickedness and turmoil. No matter what goes on in the world, I know I can have peace in the walls of my small apartment. I have a knowledge of why I am here on this Earth, why bad things happen to us, and where I am going after I die. Having this knowledge keeps me grounded and allows me to simply be happy.

How I live my faith

I try to be a follower of Christ every day. Working as a nurse, I try to remember how Christ treated those he cared for while he was on the earth. I want to come home from work and know that I did everything I could to treat my patients well and take good care of them. I want to be an example of a follower of Christ.
