Hi I'm Roger Petersen
I'm a Mormon.
I grew up in the church in Utah and moved to California in the sixth grade and started a new whole new life with meeting many wonderful people of different faiths, beliefs and cultures. Its was great, I lived in Japan while in in high school for a couple of years and loved the people and its culture. Moved back to Sacramento to finish high school, go on a mission to Washington DC in 1972 and returned home and met a beautiful young convert to the church and married her in the Oakland Temple. We have 6 special children, 3 beautiful grandchildren. My 2 oldest boys went on successful missions and our last son will be going once he finishes high school in a year. I graduated from college with several degrees and worked for Johnson and Johnson in sales management for over 25 years, retired early and I am now working in the Sacramento Temple and helping my wife do her geneology on her family. I have a strong testimony of the gospel and have served the Lord in many positions in the church in leadership and teaching.
Why I am a Mormon
I have very special parents that taught me the gospel by example and word. I learned to love the Lord in my youth and grew closer to my Savior as I learned more about Him. I have tested all the commandments by living them and obeying them. I trust the Lord and have faith that He will always be there for me and my family. I work in the Temple because I know how important God loves His children and want them to return back to them as a Family,
How I live my faith
I was taught to start each morning with a pray to guide me during the day. My success both as a husband, father and provider came from the knowledge He was always there to support me and help me in my quest to be better. I love the scriptures, I taught seminary 2 times and loved sharing my testimony with the youth of the church. I try to be nice to everyone I meet, and always think the best of them.
