Hi I'm Emily
I grew up in Hawaii. Being a mom is my calling in life. Making rolls is my specialty and I'm a Mormon.
I love life! I was born on a dairy farm, and raised in Hawaii and Alabama. My parents were divorced when I was 3, and my mom remarried soon after. I am truly blessed to have two amazing dads! I have a little girl who has changed me forever. Working with youth is my calling in life (in addition to being a wife and mother). I love creating things and DIY projects. Guitar, piano, and singing are among other favorites. The glass is always half full. I enjoy creating parables out of ordinary things. The beach feels like home to me and secretly I wish I were a surf bum.
I am a Mormon because I know this restored gospel is true - and I can't deny the spiritual impressions that witness this to my heart. Many very good people may think that Mormons are just another version of some nice church with good people in it. But there is a difference. It's the Priesthood of God that sets us apart from other churches. Priesthood is the authority to act in the name of God. It was on the earth during Christ's time and after the apostles Peter, James and John were killed, the Priesthood was no longer upon the earth. Jesus Christ and God, the Eternal Father, showed themselves to Joseph Smith as a young boy in 1820, and have since restored this gospel and the Priesthood in it's fullness. I know that's true. Taking time to study this out in my mind, in it's original context, has helped me gain a knowledge and testimony of this.
