Hi I'm Sharon

I'm a Mormon. I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true and restored gospel of our Savior Jesus Christ.

About Me

I am married to a wonderful husband who is a blessing in my life, who loves God and works with me toward a celestial marriage. I am a mom and have 5 children who are grown and working to make life a better place for their families. We have 11 grandchildren that are beautiful, intelligent, and we love snapping pictures of them during fun family events. My favorite hobby is to make picture albums of my children and grandchildren. I give them to my grandchildren so they can see how much fun we have together. I recieved my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and taught first, second and third grades. I enjoy teaching in Primary and teaching others how to have a more healthy life by using my Holistic Nutrition and Aromatherapy tools. I have a Certification in Holistic Nutrition and Aromatherapy. I work with family and friends with health issues, or who just want to relax and release stress. My Real Estate License gives me the opportunity to work as a referring agent and help my family with property issues. Learning is a way of life for me, always learning, growing and moving forward; knowing where I came from, why I am here on earth and where I am going helps me understand my purpose on this earth. It makes it easier for me to make the right decisions about my family and what we do together. My goal is to keep the spirit with me always to be guided so I can accomplish my purpose.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and gave his life for his testimony. I am so blessed to know this. Reading the Book of Mormon gives me peace and brings me closer to God. Knowing this helps me to know why I am here on this earth and what my purpose is. The Holy Ghost has witnessed to me these things are true. Having children and keeping a family happy and together is the hardest work a mother or father can do. But becasue we have the true gospel of Jesus Christ, we know it is worth all the challenges we face in this life. During times of tragedy, pain, sorrow and loosing loved ones, the spirit has comforted me. He has helped me find solutions to my problems. He has directed me in my career and family matters. I am old enough to look back over my life to see how His hand has been directing me. I am thankful for being a member of this church. Nothing is more kind, loving and purposeful than doing the Lords work. It has made all the difference in my happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being active in attending my Sunday church activites, visiting teaching, serving and teaching in the nursery, which I love. My husband and I have served a mission for our church at the Employment Resource Center. We also love working at theTemple once a week. I have taught Home Study Seminary lessons to our youth in years past. I have been a cubscout leader, a teacher in primary and our womens organization. I love reading my scriptures and the church magazines and good books so I can learn how to recieve personal revelation to conduct my life. It is very important everyday to read the words from the holy scriptures, the words of the prophet and leaders who are inspired by revelation to give me encouraging words of hope that is truthful. These are a constant reminder to look toward my Savior Jesus Christ. Our leaders are inspired by revelation directly from Heavenly Father who loves us and wants us to be happy. We know this life is a test of our faith. When things go wrong and bad events happen, we will be tested to see if we reject God or pray to him in faith that all things will be for our good. Even hardships that test our faith must needs be as the scriptures tell us. This builds our character and makes us stronger. My family is the most important part of my life. Even though my children are grown and most of them are married and have children of their own, we stay in touch as much as we can by phone, email and facebook and have family reunions as we plan for them. I have to say that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is not just a Sunday religion; it is a way of life that I think about everyday. I leave this tesitmony with you in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

What is the difference between attending a Mormon Church and a Mormon Temple?

Attending the Temple means you have to have a temple recommend, live higher ethical values, pay 10% tithing, meet with the bishop and be counseled on living our faith in accordance with our religion. The temple is a sacred place, the most holy place on earth. The home of God here on earth. A place of doing his work not mans work. More peaceful than any other place you can be on earth. Where you can feel love and joy. Attending the Temple means you have the opportunity to be in a house of God a house of learning and closer to the spiritual ways of God. We need to feel his strength by doing his work. Attending the church means come and worship with us learn the Lords ways so we can be closer on a daily bases. Teaching our children all they need to have peace and love in this world. Studing the scriptures and lessons about Christ is a centered activity each Sunday. Families are strengthened and each individual is inlightened from the spirit. Show more Show less
